Our Hojicha Amber Roast consists of roasted sencha leaves grown in Uji, Kyoto. The roasting process draws out delicate toasted notes and subtle sweetness, with a pronounced layer of dark cocoa.
It delivers a smooth, nutty flavor with hints of roasted chestnut. The precise roast develops an earthy depth while naturally reducing the caffeine content.

Preparation

Hojicha powder can be enjoyed as a drink or added to baked goods. A small amount of sweetener is recommended to enhance the tea’s natural sweetness.
Storage
This hojicha powder comes in a foil pouch sealed inside an airtight container with a screw cap. The hojicha can be poured directly from the container for easy access. For optimal freshness, store in the refrigerator and consume within 3 months of opening.
